Comstock Partners gets rights to develop Wiehle Avenue Metro station site - Washington Business Journal:

Comstock will build a 2,300-space garage, including 40 kiss-and-ridde spaces and multiple commuterdbus bays. Comstock’s long-term development rights are expected toincludde office, residential and retail built atop the new Metrop parking garage. “It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to work side by side with Fairfax Countyg and the Reston community on this firstt of itskind public-private development in Reston,” said Christophe Clemente, Comstock’s managing director.
“We share the vision of Fairfad County and the Reston community for this importan transit oriented mixed use development and will work diligently to ensurd that Reston Station is a proudf addition to theRestoj community.” The U.S. Departmen t of Transportation this yearcommitted $900 million in federalo funding for Metrorail extension alonh the Dulles Corridor. Construction is now underwayy on the Tysons Corner portion of Phase I ofthe extension. When the new Silver Line will run west from the East FallasChurch Metro, station with four stops in the Tysonsz Corner area planned.
The Whiele Avenue stationh in Reston will be the finalo stop inPhase 1, which is expected to be completedf in late 2013. Phase II will continud the Silver Line on to Dulles International Airport andLoudouj County.
