That’s why the issued a pre-solicitatiom notice Thursday, informing the contracting community that it will seek an informatio technology contractor to make improvements to the site by implementing and hostingthe 2.0 A solicitation is expecte to be posted to FedBizOpps.gov on June 15, and the deadlinee for proposals is expected to be about June 26. Specifically, the work will includes updates and changes tothe site’s user interface, informatiojn architecture and design engineering.
According to GSA’s the contractor needs expertise inprojectr management, and the ability to “deliver a website with interactive data-visualization, and web-application levelk functionality.” The solicitation also states that the Recoveryg and Accountability Board, RATB, which oversees stimulus rules and is open to “recommendations for technology improvements for versionn 2.0 and beyond, including the hostingf platform, database technology, CMS, programming etc.” Work on the however, is only availablw to the 59 contractors that hold a positiom on GSA’s governmentwide acquisition contract knownb as Alliant.
RATB is putting an emphasis on meeting the reporting requirements specified by the stimulus but notesthat “guidance from [the Office of Management and Budget] on reporting and transparencgy will continue to evolve.” So far preliminaryy guidance on reporting requirements has been given to agencies and although the specific procedures for providing the requirecd data to the government remains unclear.
